Dr. Peter Herman is an accredited veterinarian permitted to sign both domestic and international health certificates for dogs and cats traveling domestically and internationally.
If you are planning to transport your dog or cat to another country, you will need an international health certificate. Please make your plans and consider that it could take three to four weeks to get the international health certificate in your hands once it is approved and stamped in Harrisburg. It is your responsibility to check with the country you are traveling to and find out if they require additional documentation, requirements or restrictions. You may also need a temperature tolerance certificate for the airline if you are flying your pet.
Most domestic airlines require a domestic health certificate for transportation from one State to another. A domestic health certificate does not require the waiting time and can be issued at the time of the examination.
